As we like to tell our guests, “We work in Nashville, but our hearts live in Gatlinburg.” We are David, Anna, and Scott—a close-knit group of website and software developers who spent years traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains with our families to unplug. Eventually, we decided to put down real roots and formed the Troika Group to purchase and manage our own personal retreats. We created the Firefly Gatlinburg website to give other families and couples the chance to experience the Smokies exactly the way we fell in love with them: peaceful, private, and far removed from the crowded tourist traps.
When you book with massive Gatlinburg management companies, you are often just a confirmation number. We do things differently. We actually stay in Firefly Vista and Summerfall Chalet ourselves. Because these are our personal homes, we meticulously maintain them and elevate the guest experience—from ensuring the kitchens are genuinely equipped for family meals to verifying the property is spotless before you arrive. When you have a question, you are speaking directly to us, the owners of the Troika Group and these cabins.
We also love sharing the “hidden” Smokies with our guests. While millions of visitors pack the downtown Parkway, we prefer pointing you toward our favorite quiet escapes—like the Spruce Fir Trail. It is a short, high-elevation hike where the flora and fauna feel more like a Canadian forest than Tennessee, and it is almost always empty of other hikers. When you bypass the big booking platforms and reserve your dates directly through Firefly Gatlinburg, you aren’t just avoiding hidden OTA fees; you are unlocking a truly local, hosted experience.
